An eternal Story

The rainbow days an eternal story is a book by Prabir Kumar Datta agenius
himself. The book is about a lot of things. life, childhood, socual problems and simply a search for happiness in general.

SUMMARY:
This is the story of the childhood of an easy boy named Papu in a very remote village of bengal, India, within the last century, between 1967 to 1972.

Bengal, the middle of the revolt against British rule, was bisected by them throughout the independence of Asian country to create East Pakistan (which later became Bangladesh), inflicting Brobdingnagian plight to an entire generation once several families became refugees. Papu’s family additionally came to Asian country from erstwhile East Pakistan, effort everything behind.

Papu’s father, a immensely learned man And an inflexible unselfish ex-revolutionary, came to the village as a coach. There, too, he had to fight against powerful corrupted institution and face various odds. His mother, UN agency is that the female offspring of wealthy oldsters, additionally veteran dire financial condition. But Papu, an excellent student, was extremely influenced by his father.

It is the story of that struggle, though their area unit several unforgettable moments with captivated friends, loving oldsters, serene village nature, and plenty of burning moments. Their area unit family intrigues of the relatives, naughty activities of childhood, and unhappy deaths and an underlying message of import subtly sent through a extremely fascinating story of magnetism giving the readers a large pleasure of reading at an equivalent time.

My Views:
The novel is nicely written and keeps you gripped to it until you finish it. The feelings of a child are beautifully described which makes you feel that the author is a child himself. The incidences are put together in a line very nicely. The book is written in very casual English. The book describes the thought process of a d child who is confused yet very clear about his principles he learned from his father.
Book is written in a different manner but still after some time writing style becomes little monotonous and unnecessary details urge you to be skipped.

Conclusion:
The book is an exact depiction of a thought process of a person without missing anything. It describes the state of mind of a child very nicely. The book is nice but the story misses any sort of twist or turns. Too casual language and the cuss words, repetitive sentences and the same monotonous writing style however takes away the charm of the book.

It's about Time...

When reading, we don't fall in love with the characters' appearance. We fall in love with their words, their thoughts, and their hearts. We fall in love with their souls and I fell in love with the lead lady Kavita.
I do not usually write book reviews regularly; even though I am fond of books like I am fond of life and everything it has to offer. Thus, when I write about a book, it implies the book has managed to stir a strong hidden emotion somewhere.
This book “Cross Roads it’s about time; for me* is not about the details at all. Not even about the story. This book is about journey of a woman from a pampered daughter, to devoted wife, loving mother to finding her own self; her own identity as an individual.
I like to go deep in a book, devoid of the physical & metaphorical noise in the head, and try and read the emotions that the book and the men folk captured within are portray.
This one book disturbed me (of course due to some scenes to which I can easily relate) and the eyes welled up at alarmingly regular checkpoints.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
In the journey of life we see dreams, we fall in love, we experience bliss but yet we often fall, never to rise again. But Kavita is a fighter. From marrying the man she loves, to becoming a protective mother, to tolerating abuse and emerging stronger from it, her life is not different from just another Indian woman. For how long can she take the domestic violence and humiliation? Does she leave her abusive husband Rajiv, in search of greener pastures with Mihir, or does she succumb to a passionate moment with a youngster, Abhinash. Don’t we all have a right to make our identity, alone, or is marriage the only bond where one must adjust to find happiness. Is Kavita doing anything wrong by following her heart? If it takes two to tango, where did she go wrong?
Can she pamper the child in her, defy the world and live life on her own terms? Or does life give her a chance to make amends and save her precious bonds. She is standing at the crossroads of her life and wondering which path she should follow to get some peace, something we all are seeking. Why don’t YOU, my reader hold her hand and guide her. It’s about time.

CONCLUSION:
Book is written in a different manner writing style is something we all can admire. The book is an exact depiction of a thought process of a person without missing anything. It describes the state the mind of a child perfectly, how her parents’ constant fights disturb her too. The book is nice but the story misses any sort of twist or turns. Conversation between twitter, amber and Kavita are cherry on top of the cake.
In the end then, Crossroads remains to be an ambitious project, aiming straight at your heart. Go grab your copies now, and try and be your Doppelganger.
The book is escapist  for the urban human, and worthy of your time. And heart.
ratings: 5 out of 5.
P.S: this book will always remain close to my heart.
P.P.S: you have beautiful eyes ma’am. :* <3

For my blog's sake!

Before I go ahead, I wanna say that this blog will not be shut down and has re-opened on the account of many requests. Also, the fact that it shows how stupid I am to have abandoned such a memorable site.
Now, enough of that trash talk and let's get down to business, shall we?

                       PAIN

When pain inflicts upon me

and I run from the world

it makes me create a void

inside my own very self

and drag my entire being into that void

sucking every ounce of happiness out

forcing me to get chained

chained to the walls

I create by my own

to lock my soul from the world

not to feel vulnerable

to feel better, safe

clutching on the chains

I dwell, savor on the pain

get comfortable with it

and make it my happy place for once!

Colors of life: Hostel Diaries

I was probably the happiest kid when I joined the hostel, I was like
“Whoa, I get to live alone. So cool!”
& when I left I’m so sure my parents would have been like “Good riddance”. (kidding mumma surely do miss me)
Hostel turned out to be not exactly as i thought it would,
freedom is just a part of it, but mostly it is responsibility. I Have to take care of my own things, do my own laundry, iron
clothes, study, keep my room clean, eat on time and what not. I realized that I sucked at most of these things, my room (include wardrobe and study table) was ALWAYS a mess. I barely slept at
night, bunked most classes, was late to whatever few lectures I attended. I made friends, I made enemies, I befriended them later. That too in a very short span
Friends replaced my family in the hostel.
It was getting tough to manage, i hated the mess food, I hated doing laundry, I hated everything, I hated the entire hostel. I was homesick. For the first time, I missed home, I called up my mom confided in her everything. I realized that
no matter what, my mom is still there, and she still love me.
Staying away in the hostel is how I felt l close to my parents.
But the best part about the hostel is it is always alive, step outta your room at 2 am in the night and you’ll still see a few
lights on in some rooms,  some people out in the corridor talking on phone (Long distance relationships HAHAHAHAHA)
Every birthday is special. There had to be a cake and birthday bumps (kicks, cake smashing mainly) at midnight.
The drawback is that in a hostel NOTHING is personal, everyone wanted to know why you are upset, everyone wanted to know who you’re dating. Constant gossip Is a daily requirement and mostly entertainment in the hostel
“She’s dating that guy?” “Kya? Uska break up ho gaya?” “I think this guy is her 3rd boyfriend yaar, whattay slut” such phrases were extremely common. Poking your nose in everyone else’s business is considered pretty normal.
I changed in a lot of ways for good, I learnt to adjust with people, I can smile at people I don’t like now (yeah, fake smile)
but mostly I learnt to keep my temper under control. I really don’t know if staying in a hostel has made me a responsible person, I mean my room is still a mess.
But I do know that hostel life is something which is fun and tough at the same time. An experience most unlikely to be ever forgotten.

Unsent letters

What hurts is that It feels I care more then you.
What hurts is that It feels like it meant more to me.
What hurts is that you seemed to walk away so easily.
Maybe none of it was easy for you. Maybe you are
doing the kindest thing.

Review: The Otherside... Dare to Visit Alone?

Authors: Faraaz Kazi and Vivek Banerjee
Publisher: Mahaveer Publishers
Genre: Fiction/Horror
ISBN: 9789350880760
Price: Rs 150
Pages: 320
Let’s start with the prelude, the book indeed has something about it which bind you from the beginning itself.
I truly loved the conversation between the authors and their stories.
'The Other Side' is a collection of thirteen tales of the paranormal, a world that our eyes refuse to see, our ears deny hearing and our senses ignore the feel of. This is a book for someone who is brave enough to take up this invitation to journey through uncharted waters along with the authors, who were inspired by some bizarre experiences to pen down this work where the lines of reality have been blurred by the footsteps of imagination.
Starting from the story number one, a fateful night, you surely going to love the way author narrate the story and describe the surroundings, the stories vary from a weekend celebration of a youngster gone wrong to a psychopath who kills women to quench his desperation. In some stories you're about to have those sudden thrilling moments which is able to cause you to freak out if you’re the sort of one that gets afraid once the alarming witch comes alive in Horror movies.
The two stories I’d specially mention: Mother’s love and Dream girl. Both have amazing story line and narrating style.
Some  stories even remind me of some bolly wood flicks.
Overall this book is a decent treat for all book lovers seeking for unique story line with awesome narration

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.
