The Review:
First look at the title and cover and the thing which
attracts me the most is the writers’ name Shasha H. singhal when we clearly
know that the writer of book is Harsh
Agarwal, then why did he choose some other pen name for Nazaqat; but my all
questions are answered when I finished Nazaqat.
The title too is simple and adds touch of some resemblance
to some old filmy story like the girl is in need of money for her mother’s
operation, her family is in urgent need of money which lend her into
prostitution but that’s not the case in this book.
The blurb has been kept short and mysterious and talks about
how a prostitute turns into an entrepreneur. It’s a good blurb considering the
way Harsh narrated the story of nazaqat.
The story is about Nazani, naez for friends who adapted
prostitution not because she is in need of money, but because she love doing it
and doesn’t feel anything wrong in this business. How she plays various roles
in her daily life. How beautiful Nazani turns into Sexy Nazaqat. And how
virtual world plays a vital role in young Nazani’s life.
Just like her name she indeed had Nazaqat in everything she
does. She was innocent and naïve at one point and just opposite another second.
The curiosity she had for every new venture. She was selective with her
clients. She is a feminist.
Verdict:
If someone asked me to describe the book in one word it will
be “tremendous”. It is a tale which will catch readers off guard with its
wonderful story line and alluring tale of nazaqat and her story.
Harsh had done a wonderful job in portraying the character
of nazaqat. Her story & her views he done a tremendous job. There are
surprises in the book and the command over the narration is fabulous. A complete
page turner it is. Harsh describes both dark and bright side of Nazaqat
amazingly.
There are no faults in the book.
If as a reader you are looking something different or
something fresh and new then without any second thought Grab your copy of
Nazaqat as soon as it comes out in the market.
